Chest Freezer at the Pantry!

Today, a 15.5 cubic foot chest freezer was delivered by Sherman's. It's beautiful! It was marked down very, very low and Sherman's manager Brad threw in free delivery. It's clear that this vendor is in line with our mission to do God's bidding here in Central Illinois. With this freezer storage space, we can get more FREE frozen food at Midwest Food Bank this coming Monday, 4/11.

30 Families Served!

An amazing 30 families served yesterday at the food pantry at Christ Alive! Community Church. We were swamped at the start of our shift, experienced a bit of a slow down, and then got busy again. It was WONDERFUL!! Pastor Lance, Stephanie and Greg Dawson, Sue Y., Jim Ernst, Diana and Doc Hunter were there to serve and witness. Extraordinary experience. I am so grateful to be a part of this ministry. Through God's goodness, we've helped a record 120 families this month. We were running around restocking like crazy. Right now we're low on "sides" like boxed or bagged potatoes or "helper," cereal, and nearly out of canned green beans and carrots, if you're interested in donating an item or two.

Corporate Sponsor Plaque

Be sure to take a peek at the lovely plaque that is up at Christ Alive! Community Church. It lists all of our corporate sponsors that helped the food pantry this last year. And my thanks to Robin O'Brien who took the photo.
